The War Ranger.

Following extensive discussion, the Review Panel has determined the need for a new role in our clan: the War Ranger. What follows is the responsibilities, powers, and honors of this position. Also included will be an explanation of how its role differs from that of the Admins. The War Ranger will ...

    1. ... be in charge of running clan practices as often as possible: discussing strategies, playing scrimmages, and building teamwork amongst the clan.

    2. ... be the last word on all clan wars, deciding whether or not we play certain clans, deciding who gets to play and whether a split is in order to play multiple matches at once. During these clan wars, he'll be the primary authority on strategy and communication.

    3. ... be responsible for the training of different members. This differs from clan scrimmages and practices, this is getting together with individual players and working out exercises for how to train them to become better players in general.

    4. ... , on all of above previous responsibilities, have a separate evaluation for the Review Panel to determine how well the War Ranger is doing at his position.

    NEW POLICY!
    5. ... , as part of a new policy on ALL administrative positions, including the Review Panel and this War Ranger, he will be subject to investigation by the rest of the administrators if multiple complaints are received on a single incident. See below under Clan Policy Changes #1 for more information on this policy.

    6. ... be allowed a separate evaluation of players in the clan based on their gameplay skills and what needs improvement. These will only be shared amongst the Review Panel and War Ranger, to prevent animosity of the members towards the War Ranger, as well as for the Review Panel and War Ranger to see how the members are improving or declining in skill.

This position will differ from that of the administrator in that whereas the administrators focus on behind-the-scenes efforts such as the intensity of recruitment, clan infrastructure, and complaints; the war ranger will focus on in-the-fray efforts to help our individual members play better both individually and as a team. Both positions are extremely important, and the Review Panel may very likely take the War Ranger on as a member of the panel in the future.

--------------------

Clan Policy Changes:

    1. ALL administrative positions (including the War Ranger, administrators, and Review panel) will be subject to review by the rest of the clan administrators if he receives multiple complaints on the same incident. The other clan administrators will determine whether their actions, following investigation, require disciplinary action, demotion, or at worst, dismissal from the clan.

    3. All players will be subject to being kicked out of the clan for missing evaluation periods, which we anticipate to take nearly a week to complete. The policy will go as follows: if the panel elects to have monthly evaluations and a player is absent for one evaluation period, they will be marked as absent, if they miss a second evaluation, they'll be put on probation (nominal term, won't affect much, but will put the player on notice), and if they miss a third evaluation, they will be kicked from the clan.

Chances are, however, we'll be choosing to do bi-monthly reviews. Therefore in this case, if a player misses the first evaluation, they'll be put on the Inactive List. If they miss a second evaluation, they'll be dismissed from the clan for inactivity.

    NOTE:
If, prior to the evaluation, players show good reason for missing any evaluation period, they will be exempt for missing that evaluation and this policy will not affect them or get them kicked out of the clan. This policy is only to kick players out of the clan who are just taking up space and have little connection to the clan itself. Players who are kicked out for inactivity are welcome to re-apply, but will be subject to the recruiting standards that are in place then.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns about these changes.
