The Admins in our beloved clan have decided that it's time to start player evaluation
OUTSTANDING GOOD EVALUATIONS WILL HAVE COMMENDATIONS AND BAD WILL COME WITH REPRIMANDS

WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Weight categories 1 - minor, 2 - medium. 3 - MAJOR, 4 - HEAVY

1. Game Play Skills
(subjective to each review panelist on how you play, solo performance) - 2

2. Attendance
(objective based on playing time, 2-3 times a week) - 4

3. Character Quality
(who you are as a person, your pros and cons, subjective to the review panelists) - 3

4. Co-Operation with Others
(how you work with others in the clan, being one of the team, subjective to review panelists)- 4

5. Coordination in Clan Matches
(application of tactics taught and learn, subjective to panelist, based on team performance)- 2

6. Maturity
(Sportsmanship, NOT acting like a little toddler/cocky son of a bitch, being acceptable and reasonable without overreacting, Subjective) - 3

7. Respect for the Chain of Command
(Subjective to Review Panelists, based on respect given to those in power)- 4

8. Participation with Clan Events
(being apart of clan scrims/clan matches)- 4

9. Keeping up in the Forums
(posting, comments)- 1

10. Adaptive and Creative
(being able to adapt to new modes and being able to come up with new strategies - 3

This process will be conducted for every month to ensure that we are quality members to the clan and that all decisions require a majority vote from the panel and the panel will remain completely objective. As more Admins come to be the Panel will receive more members.

Note that you can be subject to review ANY DAY, ANY TIME, ANY PLACE as it will take a few days to complete and finalize, when your report is finished, the panel will pull you in and show you what your review is.

In subject to 9, it's now a requirement of the clan be active on the forums, communication is key.

This is for the best interest of the clan, so try and do your best soldiers

Mission Briefing: Operation Overdose

SITREP: The physiological stress and fatigue caused by the ongoing war has left soldiers deserting in droves and showing a lack of respect for their superior officers. In a controversial step to boost mercenary morale, high ranking officers authorized development of a stamina drug using a promising new organic sample. When the final product was being prepared for mass production, the first and only surviving test subject had an abnormal and untested dosage enter their bloodstream. The cause of the accident has yet to be determined, but shortly thereafter, the local security response team sent transmissions warning of a severe physical threat and potential outbreak situation. Before the transmissions were abruptly terminated, they alluded to the remainder of the drug sample left intact in the research center. The research center has been shut down by the Automatic Quarantine System, and an infiltration mission by Special Forces has been called upon in order to retrieve the drug sample.

Quarantine Mode Rules:

At the beginning of the game, one or more players will be randomly selected as a Host Infection.

Infected Team: Your mission is to infect as many humans as possible. Hit a human with a melee attack in order to infect them. Infect all humans to win the mission.

Human Team: Your mission is to survive. You survive either when the mission timer runs out or you destroy all of the Infected.

Quarantine Mode list of features:

• Play as either a Human or an Infected in a Player vs. player battle.
   > The goal of the Infected is to infect all the humans.
   > The goal of the humans is to survive. Kill the Infected, if you can, to help you survive.

• All Infected have the following special Infected Resistances:
   > Infected are immune to poison damage
   > Infected are extremely resistant to bullet damage
   > Infected are moderately resistant to fire and explosives damage
   > Infected are moderately resistant to melee damage

• All Infected have the following special Infected Health and Stamina boosts:
   > Infected have double normal Stamina.
   > Infected have an increased amount of Health.
   > Host Infections have higher Heath boosts than regular Infected.

• Weapon knockback feature: Use your weapons to keep the Infected at bay.

• Includes a specially designed map, tuned specifically for Quarantine Mode.

• Each game individually scored based on performance. Try to earn the highest score.

Please be aware that we have recently investigated several accounts suspected of illegal behavior. Based on evidence, those found guilty of hacking were immediately banned.

Keeping our game clean is a matter that we at Nexon take extremely seriously. All players should be aware that we are and will be regularly monitoring accounts for hacking behavior. Going forward, players who are found guilty of any further hacking activity will be permanently banned. Play clean or you won’t be allowed to play at all.

4/29 Content Update Notes - Showdown, Default Weapon Changes, Bonus GP/EXP Passes and more!

For 4/29, another dangerous mission has been added to the roster... Operation: Showdown is going to take you soldiers into the heart of a gun smuggling ring in coastal China. Don't worry, Central Command is providing a whole new set of weapons, boosts, and supplies to ensure your survival. Good luck, brave men and women of CA... you're going to need it.

New War Zone: Showdown

SITREP: Weapons are being trafficked through a port city in Southern China. The local police don't have the kind of training and equipment to deal with this problem, so they've called in private security forces. Vehicles carrying illicit weapons have been spotted driving in and out of a warehouse on the outskirts of town. Storm the warehouse, seize the smuggled weapons, and take out the terrorists.

Server Configuration Changes

We've added two new server types:

-- The new Delta server is the battleground for the most elite of elite operators.  You may be good, but here, you'll find out if you're really the best of the best.

      In order to fight on Delta, you'll have to:
         -- be ranked Sergeant First Class 1 or higher
         -- have a KDR of 1.5 or higher

The rewards for fighting on Delta are great. Matches on Delta will reward our most hardened soldiers with a 40% EXP boost and a 20% GP boost. Stats for action on Delta will be tracked separately on your web Player Profile for visible bragging rights.

-- We're also trying out a new Black Market server -- a special channel for customers of the Black Market. If you have spent 15,000 NX or more in the Black Market, you'll automatically be eligible to enter.

Finally, we've also added one additional server channel to both Alpha and Bravo (2 more channels total).

Nutshot is here to stay!

We heard you loud and clear, brave (and masochistic) soldiers -- Nutshot will remain in Combat Arms as a permanent feature to inflict humiliation on your foes.

Check out the link above as I found a video to what may be an upcoming NEW game mode in Combat Arms. Hopefully we'll get lucky and it will be in the next content patch.

The new game mode named, Scenario consists of the following:

You and a human team are pitted against A.I., controlled opponents with a limited number of lives.
Ammo pick-ups lay on the floor, once the enemies have been cleared out of a certain section you move to the next one.

South America Service Termination & Server Configuration Change (4/9/2009)

Attention all Combat Arms players, we have two very important announcements to make:

South America Service Termination

As of April 9th, 2009, Nexon America will unfortunately no longer support South America as a service territory for Combat Arms.

This was a difficult decision but made due to server latency issues, in order to maintain the integrity and quality of our overall service. We wish to extend our appreciation to our South American users for their time spent playing with us, and we hope that you have enjoyed your time playing Combat Arms.

As of today, no new accounts from the South America region may be created. As of 10:00PM PST on Thursday, April 9th, 2009, service for South America will officially terminate and South American accounts will no longer be able to access Nexon America's Combat Arms.

We do understand that while Nexon Cash has not been officially available in South America, there are still a small number of South American accounts that contain unused NX Cash or retain NX items whose remaining durations extend past April 9th. Because of this, all South American users with any outstanding NX or usage on NX items on April 9th will be allowed to play through until October 9th, 2009 (or through the fulfillment of any outstanding NX obligation, whichever date comes first). Please note that any unused NX or usage on NX items after October 9th will not be eligible for any refund. If you are a South American NX user and have any questions regarding this change of service, feel free to submit a Customer Service ticket by clicking HERE.

Server Capacity & Configuration Change

As some of you may have noticed, in the past week, we have been conducting server tests on Alpha and Bravo channels. We are pleased to announce that we are now able to implement increased capacity for all Combat Arms game channels! More players per channel means more game rooms per channel and fewer channels to search through -- all of which means it will be easier for you to find rooms you want to play in!

We will be holding a server maintenance on Thursday, April 9th, 2009, beginning at 10:00PM PST to make these changes. During this time, we will also be adjusting the server configuration according to the change in player population (our enlisted ranks have grown!), so expect to see different types of rank servers when the game comes back up on that date. More details on this to follow so stay tuned to the website.
